Promoting Citizenship as a Political Ideology

Promoting Citizenship as a Political Ideology

Citizenship as proposed by Morenike Tejuade Babington-Ashaye is a form of government established and guided by the citizens for the protection of their interests and commonwealth. Citizenship’s ideology is rooted in four core concepts: Human Society, The Protection of Nature, The Pursuit of Peace, and the Attainment of Happiness. There are three governmental levels of citizenship: family, community, and nation.
These administrations are adequately funded to fulfil their responsibilities. The governance structures are designed to support collective self-development and promote gender equality in nation-building. Of importance, under the system of citizenship political parties are not relied upon for vehicles of administration, and every citizen with the pre-identified credentials for governance stands a chance to participate.

True democracy is more than peoples’ voting rights, demonstrations, and freedom of expression.
